Nona

Opportunity

At Hoag, a prominent Orange County hospital, we embraced the opportunity to assist new parents in their homecoming journey with newborns. Inheriting a chat-based alpha iOS app for select mothers, we noticed waning enthusiasm in engaging with our 24/7 Nona Guides. Our mission: rapid iteration for lasting engagement, building Lifetime Value (LTV), and pioneering top-of-funnel marketing strategies.

Approach

To elevate engagement among new moms, we leveraged Teresa Torres' Continuous Discovery framework. This guided us in pinpointing value signals, formulating testable hypotheses, and swiftly executing low-fidelity experiments. The result? A stream of impactful enhancements across an iOS app for moms and a web-based chat terminal for Nona Guides.

American Express Cornerstone

Opportunity

Amex employees encountered numerous tools, processes, and legacy systems while handling data and analytics. Our objective was to develop a digital product strategy that would streamline the process of finding and utilizing data, facilitating decision-making and fostering innovation across the organization, irrespective of expertise or seniority.

Approach

Following thorough research, journey mapping, and stakeholder interviews, our internal product team embarked on redesigning the existing platform, Cornerstone. Our aim was to integrate various tools and processes into a cohesive strategy, collaborating with cross-organizational teams to achieve this unified vision.

Experiential Media Group

Opportunity

Experiential Media Group (EMG), formerly Premiere Exhibitions, curated engaging and educational exhibitions such as BODIES, Titanic Artifact Exhibition, Dinosaurs, and more, catering to consumer tourism across the United States.

With new leadership and amidst a downturn, the team aimed to revamp the brand, distancing themselves from a previously tarnished reputation. I sought to strike a balance between the company's historical legacy and its aspiration to become a contemporary and refined exhibition producer.

Approach

Initially centered on the organization's origins of salvaging and exhibiting authentic Titanic artifacts, I advocated for a shift towards a contemporary, adaptable, and dynamic brand presence. EMG aimed to distinguish itself from competitors with outdated online platforms and cumbersome checkout processes. We concentrated on revamping the consumer-facing websites of our most prominent shows, while providing the sales team with updated digital resources to pursue partnerships and acquisitions.

Seated App

As a team, we aimed to redesign the app with a focus on young working professionals seeking quality dining experiences. Our objective was to enhance the UX by facilitating quick restaurant discovery, reservations, and rewards accumulation and redemption. To achieve this, I streamlined the process of finding restaurants by categorizing them into thematic "occasion-based" collections. Moreover, I improved the search and map browsing features by simplifying sorting and filtering functions, enabling users to swiftly find and refine their choices.

Natal Codes

.

Concept

Imagine a digital experience where you can upload a picture you took last weekend with your family grilling on a fresh day. It’s warm, but not too humid or seared with sun. There’s a breeze and Venus and Jupiter are in Taurus. Some of the moments captured on our phones can provide a view into the planetary currents of that moment. That photo can now generate a portrait of that moment by asking the user basic questions or extracting metadata like location for example. Thereby, mapping the current astrology with the user’s profile information.

Exploration

I delved into the concept of creating visually distinctive tokens representing astrological and shared moments among friends and family. Pulling data from photos, user input, and astrology, I envisioned what AI-generated compositions could look like. Essentially, each visual "code" could signify a significant moment in a person's life, complemented by a horoscope and user-provided information like journal entries. By offering people a way to document, create, and reflect, this tool could introduce new dimensions to shareable content.
